I am standing puzzle-headed from the moment I choose
journalism as a carrier.Right now I realize the consequences caused by the lack
of reading and research. The difficulty to handle English language also stands
as a challenge. Even though I have all these problems, IJT gives me comfort
that no classrooms could give me. And because of that I never missed a class.
Time went so fast that I couldn't count it. During the journey some lecturers
turned out to be more enriching though a few lectures brought little
disappointment. As the classes progressed the confusion i had at the beginning
had slowly ceased to exist.
The inaugural
session by Mr. Jacob Thomas IPS was outstanding and he gave me the reasons to
hold my head high as a journalist. His motivational speech took me to a new
level of courage. The first
class was by Mr. Rajashekharan, a senior
journalist. He urged us to have opinions and to have the courage to express it
out. Another striking lecture was by Mr. Gouridhasan sir, in which he honestly presented
the ups & downs in the media front. Every day in IJT was a new experience
as the faculties went on with informative lectures.
Jacob Thomas IPS |
Joe A Scaria sir taught us
about the importance and opportunities of communication in this changing
scenario. N.P.Chandhrashekharan sir gave us a better understanding about the
news presentation and language skills. The new media classes were much
informative that it has totally changed my prejudice views about the media
convergence and online journalism. The
program production class taken by Marshal V Sebastian was the most electrifying
session we had. And all the rest of faculties did their best ; especially
people like S.Biju,Unnithan,Mangad Rathnakaran etc. Out of these excellent
classes, the one that stands different and most amazing was the class taken by
Neelan sir. He is one kind of a person who makes each second a memorable and
remarkable one. Apart from those so called ‘lions’ who keeps themselves ranked
above the sky; he is a peculiar person who keeps his legs mounted on the
ground. Mannerisms of a common man from a great personality like him attracted
me a lot. The camera classes were also very informative. Those classes changed
my thoughts about the camera though it seems to be a tough job for beginners.
